SEX AND BREASTFEEDING (It's totally a thing!)Getting jiggy post birth and while breastfeeding can be a struggle (physically, emotionally, mentally, energy wise... the list goes on) and sometimes it will literally be at the very bottom of a very long to-do list BUT if you are considering getting some baby making practice in, these tips from Dietitian & Lactation ConsultantAllegra Gast AKA @aloha.nutrition might help!🔹Sex might make your breasts leak thanks to oxytocin - the milk ejection reflex, which is obviously "triggered" during sex, which might make your breasts leak. I recommend feeding your baby or pump beforehand🔹You'll want to lube up...thanks to low estrogen levels, it will feel very dry down there, so lube will be your best friend 😉🔹You might experience low libido, because your sexual hormones are suppressed. You might also feel touched out with a baby and now your partner...so be vocal and express how you feel🔹You might need to do some psychologic and physiologic priming before sex and obviously communicate with your partner. For more information and resources on breastfeeding and #mumlife, visit www.milkbarbreastpumps.com.au#milkbarbreastpumps | Milkbar Breastpumps
